We are thrilled to welcome you to the War Memorial Opera House! As you prepare for your visit, we encourage you to browse our frequently asked questions about ticketing.

Everyone entering the War Memorial Opera House, regardless of age, must have a ticket, and children must be seated with an accompanying adult. No lap sitting.

Please note that we do not allow children under 3, including babes in arms.

If you will be arriving in a wheelchair, and require assistance with activities of daily living, including transferring to and from a wheelchair your caregiver will be granted an un-seated entry ticket to assist you and then can wait in the lobby for the performance to conclude.
• If you selected print at home tickets, they will be emailed to you 48 hours in advance of your performance from webtickets@sfopera.com. Emailed tickets can be scanned off your phone if the brightness is turned up and the barcode is enlarged.

• If your tickets were mailed or emailed, please bring them with you to be scanned.

• If your tickets are waiting for you at the Opera House, bring a photo ID or the credit card you used to purchase to will call located in the Main Lobby of the War Memorial Opera House.

Cast, programs, prices, and schedules are subject to change. If you can’t use your tickets, please consider exchanging, donating, or giving them to friends and family.

If you'd like to exchange your tickets, please call the Box Office at (415) 864-3330 at least two hours before your performance. The Box Office will work with you to exchange your tickets into another performance. If San Francisco Opera has to cancel a performance for any reason, we will offer full refunds.

Otherwise, all ticket sales are final and there are no refunds.
Exchanges can be made up to two hours prior to the performance you’re moving out of by calling the Box Office at (415) 864-3330. All exchanges are subject to availability and any price differential may apply when exchanging into alternate dates. If you purchased your tickets using a discount, it will not apply to the new ticket.

Due to the discounted nature of Dolby tickets, they are not eligible for this exchange policy.

If you are unable to exchange your tickets within two hours of the performance, call the Box Office before the performance begins to return tickets for a tax-deductible donation.

Tickets cannot be exchanged between seasons. San Francisco Opera Seasons run from September through June.

We are offering Rush tickets for select performances during this season. Please visit sfopera.com/rush and sign up to be notified when Rush tickets become available.

Rush is a ticketing program where a limited number of discounted tickets will be available from 11am to 11:59pm the day before select performances unless Rush tickets sell out. All Rush tickets will be $65 for Orchestra and Grand Tier, $50 for Dress Circle, and $35 for Balcony seating zones.
We offer Standing Room tickets in the rear Orchestra or the rear Balcony to most mainstage opera performances. Tickets are $10 each and they are cash only. Standing Room tickets go on sale the day of each performance and are limited to two per person.

We sell the first 150 tickets starting at 10am and hold the last 50 for sale two hours prior to the performance.
